WiFi connection

HSU members

HSU members have access to the “hsu2019“wireless network. Connection is established by entering you Computing Centre ID (RZ-Kennung) and the corresponding password.

For access via a mobile terminal (Android, iOS, MacOS X), you may need to enter a domain (hsu-hh.de) and select the system certificate (see intructions on the intranet).

After logging into WiFi, you are in the university’s IP address area and able to access the library’s electronic media. 

Members of other universities

The eduroam WiFi network of the HSU is part of an initiative that enables students and researchers to access the WiFi networks of other participating institutions in encrypted form.

After successful registration, you are in the network of your own university and can access the electronic media of your university library.
 

You will need the following:

  • profile file of your home institution: download via eduraom CAT
  • ID and password of your home institution
  • Connection to HSU eduroam WiFi

Guests of the university

The FreeHSU WiFi network is available to all guests.

Once you have connected to FreeHSU, you must accept the terms of use to be able to use the Internet.

For access to electronic media, use a PC workstation in the library.
