Standards and guidelines

Via the campus network or via VPN, you have access to various portals that provide standards and guidelines (access to e-media).
DIN standards (German Institute for Standardisation, DIN) and VDI guidelines (Association of German Engineers, VDI) are only available to HSU members and the Bundeswehr.

DIN standards and VDI guidelines

They are made centrally available to the entire Bundeswehr by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw). Access can be made via a standards portal. To request access, please contact [email protected]. This service is only available to service members.

The documents are permitted for official use only. Transfer is not allowed.

The portal, however, does not cover overlaps between DIN standards and German electrical engineering standards (VDE).

The library will also be happy to provide individual standards from this area directly ([email protected]).

German electrical engineering standards (VDE)

German electrical engineering standards (including overlap with DIN standards) are available as part of the standards library.

IEEE-Standards

(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) standards and the corresponding overlap with ISO standards can be obtained via the IEEE library access.

ASCE-Standards

ASCE standards can be obtained via the library access for the American Society of Civil Engineers.
