The library is located on the campus of Helmut Schmidt University/Bundeswehr University Hamburg which is a restricted military area and therefore subject to access control. Upon enty, you will be asked by the guard to present your library card and photo ID.
Minors may only enter the campus when accompanied by a guardian.
Do you not (yet) have a library card?
In this case, you will be registered when you enter our universtiy campus. Please have your photo ID ready for this purpose. You can then apply for a user card in the library (registration).
Please note that you are not allowed to enter the campus without a library card outside library service hours.
The University Library is the largest of the three locations and contains holdings of the faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences (GeiSo), Economic and Social Sciences (WiSo), Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering (MB/ET).
